Learning to express one's emotions and moods is truly a complicated
process. I decided to undertake this project to try to help myself, as
well as the people I photographed, recognize and distinguish what they
feel. The project is divided into chapters, each portraing a specific emotion or mood for me. I photographed
four people who are very dear to me. The individuals I captured represent
the different emotions and moods that I experience every day, and in each
of them, I find a part of myself. Subsequently, I chose to photograph
myself to represent one of my biggest insecurities, which is my physical
appearance. As mentioned earlier, I hope that these photos can help both
myself and the people I photographed.

How I work
I usually work by creating a connection with the person I photograph.
Most of my projects are very personal, and the people in my images are often people I share a close bond with.
I’m not looking for perfect poses. I’m more interested in small gestures, quiet moments, and the parts of someone that appear naturally.
When I photograph landscapes, I focus on details: light, textures, colours, and the small things I notice while being there.

This is me
Hi, I’m Emilia. I explore the world through photography, mostly on film.
I love photographing my friends, landscapes, and the small details I notice along the way.
This is a place for photos, thoughts, travels, and things I want to remember.
What inspires me
I’m inspired by nature, by the people around me, and by the small things I notice in everyday life.
My friends inspire me a lot, because they often become part of my work without forcing anything.
I’m also drawn to quiet places, landscapes, colours, light, old memories, and the feeling of being somewhere new.
Most of the time, inspiration comes from something simple:a face, a landscape, or a moment I don’t want to forget.
